1. Information we collect
You can use the converter, rates, and chart tools without an account. When you voluntarily send a contact, alert, or early-access form, we collect the information in that form.
- Anonymous or aggregated usage and performance data may include pages visited, browser type, and approximate region.
- Early-access information may include your email, optional name, audience, product interest, source, and selected currency corridor.
- Rate-alert information includes your email, currency pair, threshold, direction, verification state, delivery attempts, and cancellation state.
- IP addresses may be processed briefly for security and rate limiting.
2. Browser storage
Theme preference, recent currency pairs, and non-sensitive watchlist codes may be stored in your browser. GlobeMax does not store email addresses or unfinished form contents in local storage.
We do not use advertising cookies or sell personal data to advertisers.
3. How information is used
- Provide and improve the public GlobeMax tools.
- Respond to contact requests and manage early-access interest.
- Verify, evaluate, deliver, and cancel requested rate alerts.
- Monitor platform security, reliability, and abuse.
- Meet legal obligations.
4. Rate providers and infrastructure
Current reference rates are supplied by ExchangeRate-API and historical rates by Frankfurter. Browser requests are proxied through GlobeMax server routes; the providers do not receive form submissions from us as part of those rate requests.
AWS hosts the application and database and sends rate-alert emails through Amazon Simple Email Service. These providers process data only as needed to operate those features under their applicable terms.
5. Retention
Early-access and contact submissions are retained for the purpose for which they were submitted and for operational or legal follow-up. Pending alerts expire after 48 hours; triggered and cancelled alert records may be retained for delivery evidence, abuse prevention, and legal follow-up. Server logs may be retained for a limited security and diagnostic period.
Retention periods and deletion procedures should be confirmed before public launch.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, or object to processing of personal information, and to withdraw consent where consent applies.

7. Security
Current controls include server-side secrets, request validation, rate limits, and restricted database access. No website can guarantee absolute security. See the security page for current product boundaries.
